Private Offices: Integrating Into The Coworking Community

To some, having a private office in a shared working environment might seem odd. However, it is far from the reality. We like to think that you get the best of both worlds. As your business begins to grow and your team gets bigger, we understand that you might want something a little more permanent and private for those important moments where teamwork is key.

However, that shouldn’t stop you from continuing to enjoy the benefits of coworking and a flexible workspace. So that’s where it makes sense to move into a private office. But the main difficulty that you and your team might face is integrating with the rest of the community. While this could be an issue if you locked yourself in your new four walled home, making the most of everything that your membership covers, including getting to know your new coworkers, means that your business will see the most benefit.

So here are our tips on how you can integrate into the Avenue HQ community:

Breakout Spaces

Sometimes it might be nice to take a break from your team, grab a tea and a biscuit, settle on a sofa and get some work done while meeting others who might be doing the same. We like to dot a variety of breakout spaces around our sites to offer you the opportunity for a change of scenery in a casual environment. This is a perfect spot to chat to people as it creates a more informal setting.

Events

Make the most of both social and business events. They can be beneficial for making friends and boosting your business. Events can be the foundation to developing a relationship with other members. As you have a common topic to start a discussion on, there’s no need to feel uneasy about making the first move.

Open The Door

While a benefit to having a private office is having your own space, it doesn’t mean you can’t have guests. Why not have an occasional open door policy? This shows other members that you want to be part of the community and encourage collaboration.

Tea Point

We Brits love our tea. As cliche as it sounds, a cup of tea can bring us together. So much so that we’ll probably see you at the tea point more than anywhere else. Whether its a comment on your coworkers fancy mug that they brought from home or a discussion about whether you should have one or two sugars (or none!), you’re bound to make a pal or two.

So, doesn’t seem too hard does it? Having a private office in a shared workspace won’t hold you back. It’s just gives you an option to have something that suits your business without the compromise of losing the coworking community.
